This Whiting & Davis golden mesh bag is fabulous. Vintage 70s bag with lining, zipper. The golden satin lining has a little pocket. The overall dimensions of this bag are approximately 7 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide. Very Good condition, zipper closure with logo pull tab. The bag does not have a shoulder strap but one can easily be added.
Whiting & Davis is a company founded in 1876 that is well-known for its metal mesh bags and accessories. The company has a long history, with Charles Whiting handcrafting the first mesh bag in 1892. Whiting & Davis mesh bags were particularly popular during the 1920s with flappers and in the 1970s during the disco era.
